About EmanGrillz
EmanGrillz began in 2016 as We Like To Faaji, WLTF for short. Faaji is Yoruba for party, for chilling, for catching a vibe, and that's exactly what it was: an annual family and friends BBQ. Over 80 people showed up to that first one, and it grew every year after.
Before the pandemic, a friend pulled me aside and told me straight, I should turn this into a real business. The idea stuck. What started as informal bookings in 2022 became EmanGrillz Limited, registered as a company in 2024, but the food and the philosophy never changed.
We Grill, You Chill isn't just a slogan. It's what WLTF was about from day one: good food, good company, nobody stressed.
Emmanuel Eboda, Founder & Head Chef

Food has always been a family affair. I remember back in the day when everyone would bring a dish, and that was it. I'm fortunate enough to have learned a lot of what I know from my mum, boy can she cook, and after that I had an interest and taught myself the rest through years of trial and error. Specifically when it came to grilling, that meant hours of YouTube, cookbooks and even TikTok.
I learned to blend flavours, and it helps that although I was born in the UK, I have an affinity for my heritage (Nigerian, Yoruba), so those flavours show heavily in my food. The flavours I naturally gravitate towards are African and Caribbean.
I've been cooking and grilling seriously for over 15 years, and I hold a Food Hygiene Level 3 certificate. Good flavour and food safety aren't optional. They go together.
We cook with real Afro-Caribbean flavour, not a watered-down version of it. Every dish is seasoned properly and grilled fresh, because for us food isn't just something to serve, it's part of the experience your guests remember.
Getting the atmosphere right matters just as much as getting the food right. Whatever we're catering, our aim is simple: you shouldn't have anything to worry about on the day. That's the real meaning behind “We grill, you chill.”
